Token standards

ERC-20, BEP-20, SPL, Sui & TON explained

A "standard" is the set of rules your token follows so wallets and exchanges can support it.

ERC-20
Ethereum · Base · Arbitrum · Polygon · Optimism · Linea · Avalanche · Scroll · Berachain · HyperEVM · Sonic · Unichain · World Chain · Soneium · Mantle · Cronos · Monad · Metis · Robinhood Chain

The most widely supported token standard. Works across nearly every exchange, wallet and DeFi protocol — the safe default for serious projects.

BEP-20
BNB Chain

ERC-20 compatible but on BNB Chain, with much lower fees. Hugely popular for new tokens, presales and meme coins.

SPL
Solana

Solana's native token standard. Extremely fast and cheap to mint and transfer — ideal for high-volume and meme launches.

Coin (Move)
Sui

Sui's native token standard. Each token is its own published Move module — fast, secure, with sub-second finality and very low fees.

Jetton
TON

TON's token standard (TEP-74). Each token has a master contract plus a wallet contract per holder — fast, with very low fees.

Free vs paid

What's free and what costs money

Every live blockchain charges a network fee, so a real token is never completely free. Here is what costs nothing, what costs very little, and what you pay to create your own token here.

Our service fee on each chain

You pay the service fee once, in the chain's own coin. It is the same for every token on a chain, except on BNB Chain, where each optional feature adds 0.002 BNB. The network fee is separate: it goes to the blockchain, not to us, and it rises and falls with how busy the network is.

You see the full amount before you pay

On EVM chains the creator reads the service fee from the factory contract on the blockchain. On every chain the creator page lists the fee before you start, and your wallet shows the full amount, service fee plus network fee, before you sign. Nothing is charged until you approve that transaction.

Creator or launchpad?

Token creator vs launchpad (Pump.fun, Four.meme, PinkSale)

CryptoTokenMaker is a token creator, not a launchpad. Here is how creating your own token compares with launching on Pump.fun, Four.meme or PinkSale.

A token creator deploys a token contract from your wallet, and the rest of the launch is up to you. A launchpad runs the launch for you. Bonding-curve launchpads such as Pump.fun on Solana and Four.meme on BNB Chain create the coin from their own template and start trading straight away. PinkSale is a launchpad for presales and fair launches, where buyers put money in before trading starts.

Who owns the contractYou. It is deployed from your wallet, and any owner rights you turn on are yours. The platform's program creates the coin. You get no owner controls.You. You bring your own token, and the launchpad runs the sale.
Supply and featuresYou choose the name, symbol and supply, and turn on only the features you want, such as mint, tax or blacklist on EVM chains.Set by the platform's template. Pump.fun coins, for example, all have a supply of one billion.Whatever your token contract allows. The launchpad sets the rules of the sale.
LiquidityYou add it when you are ready, on the DEX you pick, with the amount you pick, and then decide whether to lock or burn the LP tokens.Built in. Trading runs on a bonding curve, and the platform moves the liquidity to a DEX when the curve fills. When the sale ends, part of the money raised goes into DEX liquidity, which the launchpad locks for the period you set.
Control after launchYou can change the settings you enabled, such as the tax, or renounce ownership with the Token Manager.Little to manage, and little you can change. You manage the token. The sale and the liquidity lock follow the launchpad's rules.

Best forProjects that want their own contract, brand and liquidity plan, whether it is a community, utility or meme token.Quick meme coin experiments where a fixed template is fine.Teams that want to raise funds before trading starts and can market a sale.

Which one should you pick?

If you want to test a meme idea quickly and are happy with the platform's rules, a bonding-curve launchpad is the shortest route. If you want a token that is yours, on the chain you choose, with your own liquidity plan, create it here and add liquidity when you are ready. Planning a presale? You still need a token first.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does CryptoTokenMaker cost?

CryptoTokenMaker is a no-code crypto token creator and crypto token generator. You can create your own token, coin or meme coin without coding; deploying costs a one-time service fee plus the network fee. It works as a token maker, coin creator and web3 token creator across 23 blockchains.

Can I create a token without coding?

Absolutely. This is a no-code token creator, so you deploy a token without coding or smart-contract knowledge. Connect a Web3 wallet, set your token details, and launch your crypto token online in minutes — the easiest way to create your own token or create a cryptocurrency.

Which token standards and chains can I create?

You can create an ERC-20 token, BEP-20 token, SPL token or Jetton, and create a blockchain token on 23 networks including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Avalanche, TON and Sui. As a meme coin generator and crypto coin creator, it supports every popular standard.

How much does it cost to create a cryptocurrency?

The main costs are a one-time service fee (for example from 0.02 BNB on BNB Chain, 0.009 ETH on Base or Ethereum, 0.2 SOL on Solana, shown before you sign) and the blockchain network fee (gas), which is usually just cents; on Ethereum gas can be higher depending on congestion. Learning and planning with the guides here is completely free.

What is the difference between a coin and a token?

A coin has its own blockchain (like Bitcoin or Ethereum). A token is built on top of an existing blockchain using a standard such as ERC-20, BEP-20 or SPL. Almost every new project launches a token because it is faster, cheaper and easier than building a blockchain.

How long does it take to create a token?

With a no-code creator the deployment itself takes under two minutes. Planning your token (name, supply, tokenomics) and preparing liquidity may take longer, but the technical part is fast.

Is there a free token launchpad?

Bonding-curve launchpads such as Pump.fun on Solana and Four.meme on BNB Chain let you start a meme coin for little or nothing, because the platform earns from trading instead. In return, your coin follows their fixed template and the platform handles the liquidity. CryptoTokenMaker is a token creator, not a launchpad: you pay a one-time service fee plus the network fee, and you get your own token contract and decide how to add liquidity.

Can I make a cryptocurrency for free?

You can practise for free on a testnet, where test coins come from a faucet and the tokens have no value. A real token on a live blockchain always costs at least the network fee. With CryptoTokenMaker you also pay a one-time service fee, for example 0.009 ETH on Ethereum or Base, or 19 SUI on Sui, and your wallet shows the total before you sign. Our guide on creating a cryptocurrency for free explains the free options in detail.

How can I make a meme coin for free?

The closest thing to free is a bonding-curve launchpad such as Pump.fun or Four.meme. Creating the coin costs little or nothing, but the supply, settings and liquidity follow the platform's rules. To own the contract instead, create it here: the service fee is 0.2 SOL on Solana, plus about 0.017 SOL of network fees and rent, or from 0.02 BNB on BNB Chain, plus gas. To make the coin tradable you also add liquidity, and how much you add is up to you. See how to create a meme coin for the full steps.

Is there a free TON coin generator?

No tool can deploy a token (Jetton) on TON mainnet for free, because the network itself charges fees. Our TON creator charges a one-time 8 TON service fee. About 0.25 TON more is sent with the deploy, plus a small network fee, so keep at least 8.3 TON in your wallet. Your wallet shows every amount before you sign. Read how to create a token on TON for the full steps.
