While you are the contract owner, you can change the tax later (up to 25%). Scanners flag adjustable taxes; renounce ownership when you're done.

One-time only — no subscriptions, no hidden charges. You pay the service fee + network gas, nothing else.

Your private keys never leave your wallet. You approve every transaction yourself.

What you get
Everything included when you launch your ERC-20 token on Sonic — no surprises.
Standard ERC-20 contractOpen-source code with the standard ERC-20 interface — block explorers pick it up automatically and any wallet can add it by its contract address.
100% your ownershipNon-custodial: we never touch your keys. The token belongs only to you.
No hidden powers by defaultNo mint, tax or blacklist unless you add them — and you can renounce ownership anytime.
Live on Sonic in minutesOne transaction and your token is on-chain, visible on SonicScan.
Optional power featuresMintable, Tax and Blacklist — toggle only what you need. Burning is built into every token.
Works with standard toolsCompatible with Sonic wallets, explorers and DEXs (tax tokens need V2-style pools).
How it works
From idea to a live Sonic token in three simple steps.
1

Connect your wallet

Link MetaMask, Trust Wallet or any Sonic wallet. We never get access to your funds.

2

Configure your token

Set the name, symbol, supply and decimals, add a logo and pick optional features.

3

Approve one transaction — your ERC-20 token goes live instantly and is yours forever.

Sonic, the chain that followed Fantom

Sonic is an EVM layer-1 from the team behind Fantom. Fantom Opera's block rewards were redirected to Sonic as validators and stakers moved over, and Sonic's migration docs explain how FTM holders upgrade to S. Sonic isn't a rollup, so there is no separate Ethereum data fee: gas is paid in Sonic's own coin, S, and Sonic's documentation describes sub-second finality. Tokens on the old Fantom Opera chain don't appear on Sonic, and this generator deploys only on Sonic.

What a Sonic token costs

The service fee is 460 S, read from the factory before you sign. A plain deployment simulated on 26 October 2026 used about 1.47 million gas. With the base fee at 50 gwei that day the network fee was roughly 0.074 S, or about 0.081 S at the 55 gwei price the RPC quoted. Budget a little over 460.1 S, plus whatever you will pair in the pool.

Sonic also runs Fee Monetization (FeeM), which pays approved apps 90% of the network fees their contracts generate. It is aimed at applications, so read its rules before you assume a token contract qualifies.

Moving funds in through the Sonic Gateway

The Sonic Gateway is Sonic's own bridge to Ethereum. Sonic's docs describe three steps:

  1. Deposit on Ethereum. Ethereum needs about 15 minutes to finalize it.
  2. Heartbeat. The Gateway moves queued transfers in batches, about every 10 minutes from Ethereum to Sonic and about every hour in the other direction. You can pay a Fast Lane fee to trigger a batch right away.
  3. Claim your funds on the destination chain.

If the Gateway or the Sonic chain were down for 14 days in a row, funds bridged through the Gateway could be reclaimed on Ethereum. That safeguard covers only assets bridged through the Gateway itself. Reach the Gateway from Sonic's docs or a saved bookmark, never from a link in an ad or a direct message, and try a small transfer before the full amount.

For gas money the faster route is usually an exchange that withdraws S directly to the Sonic network. If you bridge USDC or ETH instead, you still need a little S for gas, so swap some on a Sonic DEX first.

Pools on Shadow, Beets, SwapX and Equalizer

Among the largest DEXs on DefiLlama's Sonic page on 26 October 2026 were Shadow Exchange (concentrated and legacy pools), Beets and SwapX, with Equalizer smaller. Pair your token with S or USDC and check the opening price before you add the full amount.

If your token has Tax switched on, choose a classic constant-product pool, such as a Shadow legacy pool or an Equalizer volatile pool. Concentrated-liquidity pools and Balancer-style pools like those on Beets generally aren't built for tokens that lose part of every transfer. Test a small buy and sell first, and lock the LP tokens if you want buyers to trust the pool.

Checking your Sonic token

Open the token on SonicScan to confirm the supply, decimals and holder list, then share that link with your pool address. For a meme coin, an S pair on Shadow, the largest Sonic DEX in that snapshot, is a natural first market. The meme coin guide covers naming and launch day.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about creating a ERC-20 token on Sonic.
How much does it cost to create a token on Sonic?

Creating your ERC-20 token costs the Sonic network gas fee plus a small one-time service fee (about 460 S). There are no subscriptions or hidden charges.

Do I need any coding skills?

None at all. The generator deploys a standard, open-source ERC-20 contract for you from our factory. You simply choose the name, symbol, supply and optional features, then click deploy.

Do I really own and control the token?

Completely. The deployment is non-custodial — we never hold your keys, and you are the sole owner of the contract. By default no mint, tax or blacklist powers are enabled, and you can renounce ownership at any time to make the token fully immutable.

How long does deployment take?

Under two minutes. After you approve the transaction in your wallet, your token deploys instantly and appears on SonicScan right away.

Can I add liquidity and sell my token?

Yes. Your token works with standard wallets and DEXs on Sonic. If you turned on Tax, use a V2-style pool; concentrated-liquidity (V3) pools don't support transfer taxes.

Is Sonic the same network as Fantom?

No. Sonic is a separate, newer layer-1 from the team behind Fantom, and Fantom Opera's block rewards were redirected to Sonic as validators and stakers moved over. Tokens on Fantom Opera don't appear on Sonic, and gas on Sonic is paid in S.

How long does the Sonic Gateway take?

Ethereum needs about 15 minutes to finalize your deposit, and the Gateway then moves transfers in batches about every 10 minutes from Ethereum to Sonic (about every hour the other way). A paid Fast Lane option triggers a batch immediately. You then claim the funds on the destination chain.

Can I still turn FTM into S?

Yes. Sonic's migration docs say FTM holders can upgrade to S through the official upgrade portal. The swap worked both ways for the first 90 days after Sonic launched and has worked one way only, from FTM to S, since then. The portal handles FTM itself; other tokens from Opera rely on their own project's migration.
