Soneium is an Ethereum layer-2 developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, Sony's blockchain venture with Startale. It runs on the OP Stack, the software behind Optimism and Base, and its website now presents it as "the platform for tokenized IP". For a token creator it behaves like other OP Stack chains: gas is paid in ETH and Ethereum is the settlement layer.

The service fee is 0.009 ETH. A plain deployment simulated on 26 October 2026 used about 1.48 million gas at a 0.012 gwei base fee plus a 0.001 gwei tip, so the network fee was about 0.00002 ETH. The L1 data part of that was under 0.00000001 ETH. When Ethereum gets busy that part grows, which is why the generator keeps a small allowance for it in its balance check.
Soneium's own bridges page splits the options by where your funds are now. For ETH on Ethereum mainnet it highlights two routes:
Whichever route you take, open it from that bridges page or your own bookmark rather than a search result, and send a small amount first. Coming back through Superbridge, the standard route, means sitting out the OP Stack's seven-day challenge period before you can finalize on Ethereum; the third-party routes return funds faster for a fee.
On 26 October 2026, DefiLlama's Soneium page showed Uniswap V4 well ahead of the other Soneium DEXs by liquidity, followed by Kyo Finance; smaller ones included Velodrome (grouped there under Aero), Sonex and SoneFi. Pair your token with ETH or a stablecoin; the ratio you deposit is the opening price.
Uniswap V4 pools are concentrated-liquidity pools, so they don't suit a token with Tax switched on. For a tax token, look for a classic or "volatile" pool type on one of the other DEXs, check that it supports fee-on-transfer tokens, and make a small test trade before you announce the pool. Lock your LP tokens if you want buyers to see the pool can't be emptied.
Soneium's main explorer is Blockscout at soneium.blockscout.com, and the factory's source code is verified there (view the factory), so anyone can read the contract code behind your token. Check the supply, decimals and holder list against your settings, then share the explorer link along with your pool address.
