What you get
Everything included when you launch your ERC-20 token on Monad — no surprises.
Standard ERC-20 contractOpen-source code with the standard ERC-20 interface — block explorers pick it up automatically and any wallet can add it by its contract address.
100% your ownershipNon-custodial: we never touch your keys. The token belongs only to you.
No hidden powers by defaultNo mint, tax or blacklist unless you add them — and you can renounce ownership anytime.
Live on Monad in minutesOne transaction and your token is on-chain, visible on Monadscan.
Optional power featuresMintable, Tax and Blacklist — toggle only what you need. Burning is built into every token.
Works with standard toolsCompatible with Monad wallets, explorers and DEXs (tax tokens need V2-style pools).
How it works
From idea to a live Monad token in three simple steps.
1

Connect your wallet

Link MetaMask, Trust Wallet or any Monad wallet. We never get access to your funds.

2

Configure your token

Set the name, symbol, supply and decimals, add a logo and pick optional features.

Monad guide: two gas rules to know before you create a token

Monad is an EVM-compatible layer-1 that executes transactions in parallel. Contracts and wallets work as they do on Ethereum, but two Monad rules change how much MON you need. Values below were read on-chain on 26 Oct 2026.

Service fee695 MON, read from the factory's fee()
Network gasAbout 0.15–0.16 MON at the 100 gwei minimum base fee, more if your wallet pads the gas limit (see rule 1)

Rule 1: Monad charges the gas limit, not the gas used

On most EVM chains, unused gas is refunded. Monad charges the full gas limit set in the transaction. Creating a token needs about 1.51–1.58 million gas. At the 100 gwei minimum base fee plus a small tip, that is roughly 0.15–0.16 MON. If your wallet adds headroom to the limit, you pay for the headroom too, so allow up to about 0.25 MON.

Rule 2: smart-account wallets must keep 10 MON

Some wallets upgrade your address to a smart account (EIP-7702 delegation). Monad requires such an account to keep 10 MON after any transaction that spends value. A transaction that would take it below 10 MON is reverted, and the gas is still charged. This page detects a smart account before your wallet opens and asks for the fee plus 10 MON. An ordinary address doesn't need that 10 MON for a single transaction.

So hold about 696 MON in an ordinary wallet, or about 706 MON in a smart-account wallet. The simplest way to get it there is to withdraw MON from an exchange on the Monad network. If you bridge from another chain and the bridge delivers a different asset, swap part of it to MON first, because only MON pays gas.

Where Monad tokens trade

Uniswap V4 and Kuru, an on-chain order book, carried most of Monad's DEX volume in the 30 days to 26 Oct 2026 (DefiLlama), and Uniswap V3 and PancakeSwap V3 are also active. For a token with Tax you need a classic V2 pool, such as Uniswap V2 or PancakeSwap V2, because concentrated V3 and V4 pools don't handle transfer taxes. V2 pools see far less trading on Monad, and thin opening liquidity moves the price quickly, so size the first pool with care. Launching a meme coin? How the Monad fee compares

Smithii2725 MON, plus 900 MON for each option such as Mintable, Burnable or BlacklistSmithii Monad token creator

Smithii prices each option on top of its base charge, so a token with Mintable and Blacklist would come to 4525 MON there before gas. These were the published figures when we checked on 27 October 2026; the token cost guide covers other chains.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about creating a ERC-20 token on Monad.
How much does it cost to create a token on Monad?

Creating your ERC-20 token costs the Monad network gas fee plus a small one-time service fee (about 695 MON). There are no subscriptions or hidden charges. If your wallet is a smart account (for example a MetaMask smart account), keep about 10 MON extra: Monad requires smart-account wallets to keep 10 MON after the transaction.

Do I need any coding skills?

None at all. The generator deploys a standard, open-source ERC-20 contract for you from our factory. You simply choose the name, symbol, supply and optional features, then click deploy.

Do I really own and control the token?

Completely. The deployment is non-custodial — we never hold your keys, and you are the sole owner of the contract. By default no mint, tax or blacklist powers are enabled, and you can renounce ownership at any time to make the token fully immutable.

How long does deployment take?

Under two minutes. After you approve the transaction in your wallet, your token deploys instantly and appears on Monadscan right away.

Can I add liquidity and sell my token?

Yes. Your token works with standard wallets and DEXs on Monad. If you turned on Tax, use a V2-style pool; concentrated-liquidity (V3) pools don't support transfer taxes.

Why did my Monad transaction cost more gas than it used?

Monad charges the full gas limit set in the transaction, not the gas actually used. Creating a token needs about 1.5 million gas, roughly 0.15 to 0.16 MON at the 100 gwei minimum base fee. If your wallet pads the limit, you pay for that padding too.

My wallet is a smart account. Why does it ask for 10 extra MON?

Monad requires accounts with an EIP-7702 delegation to keep 10 MON after any transaction that spends value. If the transaction would leave less, it is reverted and the gas is still charged. So this page asks for the 695 MON fee plus 10 MON when it detects a smart account.

How much MON do I need in total?

About 696 MON in an ordinary wallet: the 695 MON service fee plus gas. In a smart-account wallet, allow about 706 MON because of the 10 MON reserve.
