METIS also exists as an ERC-20 on Ethereum. When you withdraw from an exchange, choose the Metis Andromeda network. If your METIS is still on Ethereum, move it through the Metis bridge first. Hold about 5.05 METIS on Andromeda: the 5 METIS service fee plus gas, which came to about 0.018–0.019 METIS for creating a token on 26 Oct 2026.
The public RPC is rate-limited, as the Metis docs warn. If your wallet times out or shows a balance of 0, switch its Metis RPC to another provider from the Metis docs and try again. Your funds are not affected; only the connection is.
Netswap is the long-running classic AMM on Andromeda, and it had the most DEX volume on Metis in the 30 days to 26 Oct 2026 (DefiLlama). Hercules runs both classic (V2) and concentrated (V3) pools, and nearly all of its trading is in the V3 pools. A token with Tax belongs in a classic pool such as Netswap, because concentrated pools don't support transfer taxes. Trading on Metis is thinner than on the largest layer-2s, so a deeper opening pool keeps early buys from swinging the price.
