What you get
Everything included when you launch your ERC-20 token on Polygon — no surprises.
Standard ERC-20 contractOpen-source code with the standard ERC-20 interface — block explorers pick it up automatically and any wallet can add it by its contract address.
100% your ownershipNon-custodial: we never touch your keys. The token belongs only to you.
No hidden powers by defaultNo mint, tax or blacklist unless you add them — and you can renounce ownership anytime.
Live on Polygon in minutesOne transaction and your token is on-chain, visible on PolygonScan.
Optional power featuresMintable, Tax and Blacklist — toggle only what you need. Burning is built into every token.
Works with standard toolsCompatible with Polygon wallets, explorers and DEXs (tax tokens need V2-style pools).
How it works
From idea to a live Polygon token in three simple steps.
1

Connect your wallet

Link MetaMask, Trust Wallet or any Polygon wallet. We never get access to your funds.

2

Configure your token

Set the name, symbol, supply and decimals, add a logo and pick optional features.

3

Deploy on Polygon

Approve one transaction — your ERC-20 token goes live instantly and is yours forever.

What a Polygon token costs

Creating a token here costs two things, both paid in POL: our one-time service fee of 200 POL, which the generator reads from the factory contract before you sign, and the Polygon network fee for the deployment itself.

On 26 October 2026 we simulated a plain deployment (no optional features) against the Polygon factory. It needed about 1.51 million gas. At that day's base fee of about 247 gwei plus the 30 gwei priority tip the network suggested, the network fee came to roughly 0.42 POL, so creating the token cost about 200.4 POL in total. Polygon gas prices jump during busy periods, so keep a margin; your wallet shows the exact total before you confirm.

Budget for the pool as well. The POL or USDC you pair with your token when you add liquidity usually costs far more than the deployment.

Newer MetaMask versions already list Polygon. If yours doesn't, press Connect in the generator above and approve the network switch, or enter the details above under Settings → Networks. Adding a network never needs your seed phrase, so close any page that asks for it.

POL, not MATIC

POL replaced MATIC as Polygon's gas and staking coin in 2024, and old tutorials and some exchange menus still say MATIC. What you need is POL on the Polygon network itself. POL held as a token on Ethereum mainnet can't pay Polygon gas until you move it across.

Getting POL onto Polygon

  • Withdraw POL from an exchange and pick Polygon as the withdrawal network. This is usually the quickest route and needs no bridge.
  • Or bridge from Ethereum with the official Polygon Portal bridge. The deposit is an Ethereum transaction, so you pay Ethereum gas for that step.
  • Type bridge addresses yourself or use a bookmark. Fake bridge sites placed in search ads are a common way to lose funds, so send a small test amount first.

Liquidity on QuickSwap, Uniswap or SushiSwap

A new token has no price until someone opens a pool for it. On 26 October 2026, DefiLlama's Polygon page showed Uniswap (its V2, V3 and V4 pools together) and QuickSwap holding most of the DEX liquidity on the network, with SushiSwap and Curve well behind.

  1. Choose the pair. Most Polygon tokens pair with POL or USDC, and the ratio you deposit sets the opening price.
  2. Open the pool on QuickSwap or Uniswap and paste your token address from PolygonScan. Or use our Add Liquidity tool, which adds POL liquidity on QuickSwap from your own wallet; it charges its own 3 POL service fee, shown before you confirm.
  3. Keep the LP tokens you receive safe. Locking them for a set period shows buyers you can't pull the pool while the lock lasts.

If you switched on Tax

A transfer-tax token needs a classic, V2-style pool: QuickSwap V2, Uniswap V2 or SushiSwap's classic pools. Concentrated-liquidity pools (V3 and V4) can't account for a token that delivers less than was sent. The tax in our contract also applies to ordinary wallet-to-wallet transfers, not only to trades. Your creator wallet and the tax wallet are excluded from the start, so seeding the pool from your creator wallet isn't taxed, and the owner can exclude more addresses through the contract's setFeeExcluded function.

After launch: checks on PolygonScan

  • Open your token on PolygonScan and compare the total supply, decimals and holder list with what you entered.
  • The factory that deploys your token (view it on PolygonScan) has its source code verified on PolygonScan. That source includes the token contract it creates, so buyers can read exactly what they are holding.
  • Run your token through our Rug & Honeypot Checker, which supports Polygon, to see the owner powers a buyer's scanner will flag.
  • When your settings are final, you can renounce ownership with the Token Manager, which supports Polygon. Renouncing is permanent and also ends your ability to change the tax rate or the blacklist.
  • Link the PolygonScan address everywhere you promote the token, so buyers can confirm it in one click. Our guide on verifying a token contract explains why buyers look for this.

Launching a meme coin on Polygon

Polygon's low gas suits the many small trades a meme coin lives on. Most meme launches keep the contract plain: a large round supply, often in the billions, with Tax and Mintable left off so scanners show a fixed supply. Pair it with POL on QuickSwap, post the PolygonScan link and pool address in your community, and write down your plan for the supply before you buy any promotion. Never promise price gains. The meme coin guide walks through naming, tokenomics and launch day.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about creating a ERC-20 token on Polygon.
How much does it cost to create a token on Polygon?

Creating your ERC-20 token costs the Polygon network gas fee plus a small one-time service fee (about 200 POL). There are no subscriptions or hidden charges.

Do I need any coding skills?

None at all. The generator deploys a standard, open-source ERC-20 contract for you from our factory. You simply choose the name, symbol, supply and optional features, then click deploy.

Do I really own and control the token?

Completely. The deployment is non-custodial — we never hold your keys, and you are the sole owner of the contract. By default no mint, tax or blacklist powers are enabled, and you can renounce ownership at any time to make the token fully immutable.

How long does deployment take?

Under two minutes. After you approve the transaction in your wallet, your token deploys instantly and appears on PolygonScan right away.

Can I add liquidity and sell my token?

Yes. Your token works with standard wallets and DEXs on Polygon. If you turned on Tax, use a V2-style pool; concentrated-liquidity (V3) pools don't support transfer taxes.

Is POL the same as MATIC on Polygon?

POL replaced MATIC as Polygon's gas and staking coin in 2024. You pay the 200 POL service fee and the gas in POL on the Polygon network. Guides that still mention MATIC refer to the earlier coin.
