How to add Avalanche to MetaMask

Adding the Avalanche C-Chain to MetaMask takes a few seconds. Modern wallets can add it automatically, or you can enter the details manually.

In MetaMask open Settings → Networks → Add network → Add manually and enter:

• RPC URL: https://api.avax.network/ext/bc/C/rpc
• Chain ID: 43114
• Currency symbol: AVAX
• Block explorer: https://snowtrace.io

Get AVAX for gas

You need a little AVAX on the C-Chain. Withdraw AVAX from an exchange to the Avalanche C-Chain network, or bridge from Ethereum.
