How to add Polygon to MetaMask

Adding Polygon to MetaMask takes a few seconds. Modern wallets can add it automatically, or you can enter the network details manually.

The easy way (automatic)

The simplest method: visit our Polygon token creator and connect — the site prompts MetaMask to add and switch to Polygon for you in one click. Most dApps do the same.

Manual network details

To add it by hand in MetaMask, open Settings → Networks → Add network → Add manually and enter:

• RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com
• Chain ID: 137
• Currency symbol: POL
• Block explorer: https://polygonscan.com

Get POL for gas

You need a small amount of POL to transact. Withdraw POL from an exchange to the Polygon network, or bridge from Ethereum. A few POL is plenty.

Stay safe

Only add networks using details from official sources (Polygon's site or a trusted dApp). Never enter your seed phrase on any "add network" page — adding a network never requires it. See avoiding scams.
