How to add Base network to your wallet

Base works with MetaMask and other EVM wallets — you just add the network once. Here is how to add Base, fund it with ETH, and start using it.

The easy way: one click

The simplest method is to visit any Base dApp (like our Base token creator or a DEX) and click "Switch network" — your wallet will prompt you to add Base automatically.

Adding Base manually

In MetaMask, open Networks → Add network and enter:

• Network name: Base
• RPC URL: https://mainnet.base.org
• Chain ID: 8453
• Currency symbol: ETH
• Explorer: https://basescan.org

Getting ETH on Base

You need ETH on Base for fees. Either bridge ETH from Ethereum, or withdraw ETH directly to Base from Coinbase and other exchanges.

You are ready

Once Base is added and funded, you can trade on Aerodrome/Uniswap or create a token — the same MetaMask address works across Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum.
