HyperEVM fees explained
HyperEVM transactions are cheap. Here is how gas works, what you pay in, and how to get the HYPE you need.
Why HyperEVM fees are low
HyperEVM is a high-performance EVM layer, so gas stays low. You pay a small gas fee in HYPE for each transaction — far cheaper than Ethereum mainnet, and even deploying a token typically costs only a few cents of gas.
What you pay fees in
All HyperEVM gas is paid in HYPE. A small amount covers deploying a token plus many transfers.
How to get HYPE on HyperEVM
- Buy HYPE on a major exchange and withdraw it to HyperEVM, or transfer from the Hyperliquid app to the EVM.
- Or bridge to HyperEVM and swap for HYPE.
- Set your wallet to HyperEVM — see add HyperEVM to MetaMask.
Fees when creating a token
Launching a token on HyperEVM costs the small gas plus any service fee — far cheaper than Ethereum. Try the HyperEVM token creator or estimate with our cost calculator.
Frequently asked questions
How much are HyperEVM gas fees?
Low — usually a few cents, even for deploying a token.
What coin pays HyperEVM fees?
HYPE, Hyperliquid's native coin. Keep a small amount on HyperEVM.
Why is HyperEVM cheaper than Ethereum?
It is a high-performance EVM layer, so gas does not spike the way it does on Ethereum mainnet.
